WHAT IS “PROJECT: F” ?

There is an era that future generations will refer to as “B.F.”: BEFORE FACEBOOK.

In the last 5 years there has been an explosion of social networking as our community has migrated to the Internet. Everyday, millions of people are participating in an invisible grid and status-ing their lives on a public notebook. “Project:F” explore the many facets of social networking and community on the Internet through the lens of Face Book using a theatrical microscope. This project will have a special emphasis on process and development, and the entire cast and crew will participate in creating this original work. Our devising ensemble will be comprised of people from all artistic disciplines: Actors, Dancers, Musicians, Designers, Visual Artist, and Mixed Media Programmers.

BACKGROUND

In 2009, P.T.M. launched it’s first devised project: “Orson Welles’ War Of The Worlds” in collaboration with Q.P. which was well received in our community. Anne Bogart and NYC SITI Company’s “American Document” inspired and encouraged us to continue to pursue PROCESS based theater in the Greater-Orlando Area. Anne used an actor/dancer formula as SITI joined forces with the Martha Graham Dance Company. We are seeking a similar model as we endeavor towards collaborating with a variety of other theater entities and organizations. If you and or your company are interested in a potential collaboration, please contact us.

FUNDING

This is the first of a series of events P.T.M. is hosting to raise money for “Project:F”. Our next event is May 10th. Stay tuned for more info. All money raised is going into our production budget, this will be a not-for profit presentation.
